Anna Kinberg Batra has “ended up in what most closely resembles situations we recognize from banana republics”, the SD leaders write in Aftonbladet.

The background is the revelations about how Anna Kinberg Batra gave exceptionally well-paid top jobs to her friends.

One of the jobs, as “head of planning” at the county board, she came up with herself and gave to her best friend Anna Borgs after the position was advertised only through a note in the reception. Väninnan, who is incidentally the wife of the Moderates' deputy party secretary Martin Borgs, was the only applicant.

“Close friends who are hired for high management positions, despite a lack of competence and advice from the civil servants, announcements of the same positions that take place in strange ways that indicate extremely poor judgement,” the SD politicians write in their debate article.

They also mentions the reports that employees at the county board have testified to a poor work environment and lack of leadership, which has resulted in a generally chaotic personnel situation at the authority.

“Furthermore, there have been reports of dinners with space companies where Anna Kinberg Batra works have mixed up his task as governor with the board assignment in a space joint stock company.”

Anna Kinberg Batra must, according to the debate article, “realize that these scandals have damaged trust in herself as well as in the office so seriously that it is time for her to leave the assignment”.

“A new person must be given the chance to repair the breach of trust and bring peace and tranquility to the organization so that it can devote itself to its mission – to serve the people of Stockholm and act as the government's representative in the county. “
