The Microsoft Store is showing fewer already installed apps on the various home pages of the app store after a recent update. In other words, from now on, more new apps will be recommended in the Store that the user may want to install.

Until recently, for example, the Microsoft Store recommended a number of well-known applications under the heading 'popular free apps', including if a user already had these apps installed. In an update, the company makes it less likely that already installed apps are shown, reports Rudy Huyn, principal architect of the virtual app store. He also speaks of 'deprioritizing' installed apps. It is therefore possible that such apps will still be suggested.
