NZXT H7: Contemporary AirFlow facelift between H510 & H710

201

With the trio of H7, H7 Flow and H7 Elite, NZXT is presenting a new case series that sits between the H510 and H710 series. The basic concepts, which are similar in both cases, are largely adopted, but there is a new cover that serves for ventilation.

New series as a contemporary facelift

The new NZXT-H7 series picks up on the well-known clear design language of the H510 and H710 series. In terms of case volume and weight, it is positioned exactly between the two case brothers. The most striking innovation is the revised cover, which now enables direct ventilation and is also prepared for future hardware. There is also space for three 140 mm fans in the front of the H7.

The “predecessors” were somewhat limited in this respect: the H710 already enabled the accommodation of up to three fans in the lid, but ventilation was only via narrow side inlets. At the front it only offered space for three 120 mm fans. With the more compact H510 (Flow, test), on the other hand, only one fan could be installed in the cover, in the front there were two 140 mm fans.

In addition, NZXT has dedicated itself to the internal Cable management adopted. Both the cable ducts and the cable openings have been enlarged.

Three variants for every taste

As with the H510 series, NZXT is also launching the new case series in three variants. The variants H7, H7 Flow and H7 Elite differ primarily in the case front. There are also slight differences in the included accessories.

The NZXT H7 series accepts mainboards up to the form factor E-ATX. With a connection for USB 3.1 Gen 2 (USB 3.2 Gen 2, 10 Gbit/s) Type C, 2 × USB 3.0 (USB 3.2 Gen 1, 5 Gbit/s) and HD audio, the I/O panel offers common standards . With a maximum graphics card length of 400 mm and a maximum CPU cooler height of 185 mm, there are no restrictions with current hardware.

All three variants of the NZXT H7 are said to be available in black and white from today. The manufacturer calls for around 140 euros as a recommended price for the basic and flow version. For comparison: The recommended price of the H510 Flow was around 110 euros at the time of presentation – the street price, on the other hand, is currently around 80 euros. Together with the three RGB fans and the control unit, the H7 Elite costs around 210 euros. As an option, NZXT offers a vertical GPU mount including a PCIe 4.0 riser cable. Their RRP is around 90 euros.
