This is an increase from September when the inflation rate was 2.8 percent. The monthly change from September to October was 0.2 percent.

– We saw a broad price increase at various events such as sports competitions, cinema, theater and admission to dance clubs. Something that can be linked to eased restrictions, says Sofie Öhman, price statistician at Statistics Sweden.

Fuel prices continued to rise in October, while higher prices for fruit, vegetables and beverages contributed to rising food prices. At the same time, the prices of cultural services and goods such as charter and event tickets, ski equipment and TV sets rose, according to Statistics Sweden.
