– They must get humanitarian support on the spot, then they must be helped back to their countries if they have no grounds for asylum – then they can seek asylum in Belarus, says Foreign Minister Ann Linde to Swedish Radio.
Ann Linde claims to share this opinion with UNHCR chief Filippo Grandi, who also believes that immigrants should be sent home or seek asylum in Belarus.
At the same time, the stalemate on the Polish-Belarusian border has continued and Belarus's President Alexander Lukashenko is now threatening to fly third-world immigrants to EU countries.
