Media. SVT's “Agenda” gets harsh criticism after broadcasting a feature where two defectors from the Christian Democrats sit and talk about how terrible it is that the party has opened up for cooperation with the Sweden Democrats.

In the segment that was broadcast on Sunday, SVT claims that KD has “lost a lot” among free-church voters, who are deeply concerned about the party's values.

SVT shows a long conversation between two previous members of KD who tell about how “tragic” they think the approach to SD is.

– I felt bad, says one of them about when he saw a picture of Ebba Busch together with Jimmie Åkesson in the newspaper .

One of the defectors, Daniel Berner, is today the municipal councilor for the Center Party in Vetlanda.

Now the article gets harsh criticism.

“Agenda yesterday about KD there “only two defected KD politicians (of which one active C-politician) were allowed to talk about why they left did not live up to the desired neutrality in the coverage, unfortunately. Hopefully we do not get a CNN development next election year”, writes Svenska Dagbladet's political analyst Annie Reuterskiöld on Twitter.

Gudrun Brunegård, Member of Parliament for KD, tells Expressen that the feature is “directly offensive”.

– It is directly offensive spirit how they really made an effort to co-ordinate two critical people and arrange for them to sit in a conversation and express why they chose to leave without giving any counter-image, she tells the newspaper.

Brunegård states that SVT has broadcast “an angled report to present a negative image of the party”.

Michael Kucera, program manager at SVT, believes, however, that Agenda gave “a balanced overall picture” of the situation by also letting the party leader Ebba Busch respond to criticism.
