SD calls all members to the vote

Domestic. The Sweden Democrats have summoned all their members of parliament to participate in today's vote on the sex change law.

– We want to be fully staffed in the chamber, and repatriate the case to the committee, says group leader Linda Lindberg (SD) to Sveriges Radio.

Even the SD members who would have been on assignment abroad must stay at home and participate in the vote.

Critics of the law within other parties, such as S-toppen Annika Strandhäll and the moderate Jan Ericson, have made sure to be abroad and thus avoid voting against the party line.

Officially the bill is supported, as from all indications will be voted through on Wednesday, by all Riksdag parties except SD and KD.
