The Belgian provider Mobile Vikings has been offering a 5Gbit/s fiber optic subscription for 90 euros per month since this week. The upload is 1Gbit/s. Mobile Vikings is a subsidiary of Proximus, with which no comparable internet-only subscription can be taken out.
The subscription, like the other fixed Mobile Vikings subscriptions, does not have a data bundle. In addition to the 5Gbit/s subscription, Mobile Vikings also offers a 1Gbit/s and 100Mbit/s subscription for 55 and 40 euros per month respectively. The provider uses the fiber optic network of parent company Proximus. Proximus only offers internet-only subscriptions with a maximum speed of 500Mbit/s. The parent company's multi-gig fiber optic subscriptions can only be taken out in combination with a linked mobile or TV subscription.
