Terrorist act in Moscow

  • Russian knocked terrorist unconscious during the act
  • 143 dead and 11 arrested after the bloodbath in Moscow
  • At least 60 dead in terrorist attack in Moscow

“Investigators have verified information about that large sums of money and cryptocurrency received by the perpetrators of the terrorist attack can be traced back to Ukraine; the funds were used to prepare the crime,” the committee writes in a statement, according to Russian Tass.

Examinations of technical equipment seized from the terrorists and analyzes of financial transactions “prove” that the perpetrators had links to “Ukrainian nationalists”, it further claims.

John Kirby, director of communications for the US National Security Council, calls them the Russian data for “nonsense” and “propaganda”.

A total of 143 people have been confirmed dead since the attack on March 22. Eleven people suspected of involvement in the terror attack have been arrested, including the four gunmen who the Kremlin says were caught trying to flee to Ukraine near the border.

The Islamic State in Khorastan (IS-K) has itself the deed, and the United States has also singled out the terrorist organization for the deed. Earlier in March, the United States had warned its citizens of a potential act of terrorism in Russia, and states that it had advance information that something similar could happen.

However, Russia has not singled out IS itself as responsible, even though President Putin on Monday stated that the perpetrators were “radical Islamists”.

IS-K has previously claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Kerman, Iran, in January, when 96 people were killed.
