Apple is reportedly testing a new version of the Apple Pencil, which should be compatible with the Vision Pro headset. The stylus could then be used to draw in apps such as Freeform.

MacRumors writes, based on insiders, that Apple is currently testing the updated Apple Pencil with visionOS support. Not many details are known yet. Users may be able to use the stylus on a flat surface, such as a table or desk. The drawing should then appear in the virtual environment in the mixed reality glasses.

It was previously announced that Apple plans to release a new version of its Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard. It is not clear whether this concerns the stylus with Vision Pro support. Two iPad Pro models with OLED screens are also expected this month. Earlier in March, Apple released the M3 versions of the MacBook Air 13″ and 15″.
