Fewer than one in ten think that Sweden is going in the right direction

Domestic. The Swedes' view of Sweden is the most negative measured in a SOM survey. Just under a tenth believe that the country is going in the right direction, writes TT.

– We do not ask what you put into the assessment. But I think it's about crime and shootings, rising inflation, high food prices. This type of social change that we have seen contributes to the view of development, says Annika Bergström, director of the Som Institute, according to TT.

An overwhelming majority, three out of four, believe that Sweden is heading in the wrong direction hold. Only a fraction, less than a tenth, believes that development is going in the right direction.

The view of economic development is also pitch black. Almost 90 percent believe that the Swedish economy has worsened over the past year. It is a figure almost as high as during the financial crisis in the early 1990s.
