Domestic. A high school in Nacka, outside Stockholm, was closed on Monday, due to a disturbing rumor spreading on social media that a school shooting will take place at the school.

According to the principal, the likelihood that the threat would be carried out is small, but they take it seriously and have therefore decided to set a “home study day” for the students.
The school will have police protection during Tuesday. The incident has been reported to the police.
Sweden has had few cases of school shootings compared to, for example, the United States, but there have still been a number of murders at schools in the country in the past.
In October 2015, a student and two teachers were killed in Trollhättan and in March 1961 seven students were shot, one of whom died at a school in Kungälv.
