Joel Bjurströmer Almgren was a leading figure within the now defunct Revolutionary Front. In connection with an extremist brawl in the Stockholm suburb of Kärrtorp in December 2013, he cut down a 28-year-old member of the Swedish Resistance Movement.
Bjurströmer Almgren was sentenced in 2014 to 6.5 years in prison for, among other things, attempted murder. He was soon at large again and committed new crimes. In December 2020, he was arrested at Slussen in Stockholm with what the police described as “street fighting weapons”.
Now the deadly left-wing extremist is once again on trial, this time for a serious weapons crime for which he was charged earlier this year. The background is that in January the police found a semi-automatic pistol at the home of a left-wing extremist mother of three, which also turned out to be mapping individual police officers. On January 23, Joel Bjurströmer Almgren reported himself to the police and stated that it was he who had placed the gun with the woman without her knowledge.
Exakt24's Christian Peterson was present in court during the trial on Tuesday, and asked Joel Bjurströmer Almgren if he thought there would be prison this time.

Peterson's film also shows how Joel Bjurströmer Almgren later suddenly attacks Christian Peterson and knocks the mobile phone out of his hands.
Fria Tider has spoken to Christian Peterson, who says he has reported Bjurströmer Almgren to the police for the attack. According to a copy of the report, it is molestation.
