Signify, best known for the Philips Hue range of lights, is introducing new portable LED lights with indirect lighting under the WiZ brand. A new, portable light switch, on the other hand, is designed to make it easier to control the smart products by being able to function either as a wall switch or remote control.

The new products consist of table and floor lamps, new lamps , a portable light switch and new ceiling lights and lamps

WiZ Mobile table lamp

The new WiZ Mobile table lamp, which has a carrying handle at the upper end of the housing, offers light to take with you. It allows two different colors to be reproduced, one in the upper and one in the lower area. WiZ calls this “Dual-Zone Design”. The table on the terrace or balcony is seen as a place of use, for example, but it can also serve as a reading light. The case is said to be “robust”, the battery “enduring” – WiZ does not yet give details on this in the announcement.

WiZ Pole floor lamp

The WiZ Pole floor lamp, on the other hand, relies on indirect lighting and can be placed both vertically and horizontally on the floor in order to illuminate the wall. The base of the lamp can be removed for this purpose. The “dual-zone design” also offers the option of letting the light shine in two different colors.

The WiZ Bar Linear Light

The new WiZ Bar Linear Light should be even more flexible and versatile in that it can also be operated horizontally or vertically. It can also be expanded with additional Bar Linear Lights, with the lights being connected via a cable. For example, users can place a Bar Linear Light in stacked shelves and illuminate them in parallel – and hopefully hide the cable well. The WiZ Bar Linear Light also has two RGB color zones that can be controlled independently of each other.

WLAN for connection and control

The lights are integrated into the local network via WLAN and can also be controlled afterwards exclusively via the WiZ app if desired. The brightness, light color and temperature can be adjusted and, if necessary, voice control can also be used. Predefined light scenes such as fireplace or ocean can also be activated via light modes.

WiZ Portable Button

For those who don't always want to use an app, WiZ is also introducing a new WiZ Portable Button that can be used as a mobile light switch. With the WiZ Portable Button, connected lamps can be switched on, off and dimmed from a distance of up to 15 meters without one of the products having to be connected to the WLAN.
