iPhone 14 colours: a lot of choice
The expectation is that we will also have a lot of choice of colors with the iPhone 14 series. A distinction can be made between the often more serious Pro models and the more playfully colored ‘ordinary’ iPhone 14. But as you know, nothing is official until Apple announces it itself.

These are the current colors
Just to give you a refresher: these are the colors that Apple currently uses for the models currently on the market .
- iPhone 13 Pro models: alpine green, silver, gold, graphite, sierra blue
- iPhone 13 and 13 mini: green, pink, blue, midnight, starlight, red
- iPhone 12 and 12 mini: green, white, black, blue, red, purple
- iPhone 11: green, white, black, red, purple, yellow
- iPhone SE (2022) : starlight, midnight, red
As you can see, there is always a black/grey shade and a white shade, supplemented with red and somewhat brighter colors in the regular models. We expect this to be the case again with the next generation. Apple has only just introduced midnight and starlight colors and will continue to vary on them for years to come.
iPhone 14 colors
We'll start with the regular edition of the iPhone 14, which will be available this year in two sizes. In addition to 6.1 inches, a larger iPhone 14 Max with a screen size of 6.7 inches is also expected. This replaces the mini. These devices are always a bit more colorful. When it comes to colors, we can probably count on the following:

- Red
- Sky Blue
- Purple/lilac
Rumors about the new colors mainly come from China, especially through the social network Weibo. These could be people directly involved in the production, but because they are often anonymous accounts or accounts with no track record, it is not always possible to determine whether it is reliable. The first three colors are pretty much a certainty, while blue and purple could be the additional colors for this year. The purple color would have the special feature that the color changes slightly depending on the incidence of light.
For the iPhone 12 series, Apple only released the purple color at a later time. The iPhone 14 series should be launched simultaneously, according to the rumor machine in China.
The color Sky Blue could be a mix between the current blue of the iPhone 13 series and Sierra Blue of the iPhone 13 Pro models. The latter is a somewhat lighter shade of blue, which is already very reminiscent of a light blue sky.
iPhone 14 Pro (Max) colors
With the iPhone 14 Pro models, Apple seems to be taking things a bit more slowly. In addition to the usual colors, Apple would like to introduce the color purple as an eye-catcher. These are the expected colors:
- Graphite
- Silver
- Gold
- Purple
It would be nice if Apple also chooses Midnight for the iPhone 14 Pro models, a black-blue color that was very popular with people who are not looking for too wild color shades. But it seems that Apple is once again opting for the ‘boring’ graphite.
The biggest changes on these models will be at the front, with the notch replaced by two openings (round and pill-shaped). The purple variant is rumored to be slightly darker than that of the iPhone 14. It also changes color under different lighting conditions. Apple previously introduced a purple iMac, a purple iPad mini and a purple iPad Air, so it's not an unusual color.
The arrival of these new colors also means that Sierra Blue will disappear again, the light blue color that comes with the iPhone. 13 Pro series was well received. With the normal models, the colors pink and green are no longer available, two pastel colors that certainly attracted a certain audience.
