AMD is dropping the “Radeon” brand name from its graphics driver label. The new Radeon Adrenalin Edition 22.5.2 offers support for the “hardware eater” Hitman 3 with ray tracing, upscaling via drivers and AMD Radeon Super Resolution (based on FSR 1.0) on APUs as well as the latest Vulkan 1.3 features.
Big product care under a new name
On the games side, the latest AMD graphics driver for Windows 11 and Windows 10 supports not only the ray tracing update for Hitman 3 (test) but also Sniper Elite 5 and the free Vulkan 1.3 graphics API with an even more extended feature set.
The AMD Ryzen 6000 series aka Rembrandt APUs, specially designed for notebooks and based on Zen 3+, with an RDNA 2 iGPU, such as a Radeon 680M (test), can, according to the detailed official release Notes now also use AMD RSR, which has also been supplemented with a new “sharpening effect”.
Improvements have also been made to DirectX 11 and Smart Memory Access (test), which promise more performance in the form of more FPS. In particular, Death Stranding and Watch Dogs: Legion should benefit from the new driver.

New name and old problems
But the developers' specifications with the problems that have not yet been fixed also remain well filled and have been dragging around a whole series of older errors for quite some time now.
