Sonos Roam in more colors
Sonos Roam is Sonos' portable speaker that you can easily take with you to your balcony, the park or any other place. As of today, there is a choice of more colors: in addition to the usual black and white, you can choose from three new striking colors. The manufacturer often does this to breathe new life into existing products. The colored Sonos Roams being presented now have a microphone for smart assistants. Earlier this year, Sonos also introduced a standard color version without a microphone, the Sonos Roam SL. This is technically virtually the same, but cannot be used for voice commands.
Automatic Trueplay ensures that the sound is attuned to the environment. Roam connects to your home network via WiFi and switches to Bluetooth when you're on the go. There is also support for AirPlay 2.
The speaker has a robust design, although you can't immediately tell by the appearance. It's not a typical looking ‘rugged’ product with thick bumpers, but a slim speaker that you can also place in a room. Sonos promises that it's waterproof and dustproof (IP67) and won't break if dropped.
The new colors are inspired by nature and the places you can take the Roam to: from olive groves and cactus-strewn plains, to the sands of the desert and beautiful evening skies. It plays for 10 hours straight and switches to power-saving mode when you're not listening. You can charge on any Qi charger or with the separately available Sonos Roam charger in the same style. If you don't have a wireless charger, you can also use the USB-C port (cable is included). With a weight of 430 grams and dimensions of 168 x 62 x 60 mm, it always fits in your suitcase or backpack. The colored Sonos Roam has the same suggested retail price as the copies with microphone in black and white, namely & euro; 199,-.
