Last year Apple first introduced a Black Unity Collection Apple Watch and accompanying sports band. Apple is celebrating Black History Month in February. Even now, Apple is dominated by this celebration. Not only in Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and the App Store, but also with a new Apple Watch band and a new watch face. The new Black Unity Braided Solo Band is available to pre-order today and the new watch face is available to everyone.

Black Unity Braided Solo Band for Apple Watch

The new band is a braided solo strap in a dark gray color. The braided threads incorporate the different colors associated with Black History Month, such as red, bright green and dark green. This gives the band a unique look, which is a bit more subtle than last year's Black Unity sport band.

The Black Unity Braided Solo Strap is available now and costs €99 at the Apple Store. That's the same price as the other braided solo bands. Last year's sport band is also still available, priced at €49.

New Black Unity watch face for everyone

You may have already got the push, but Apple has also made a new watch face available for everyone. It is a new version of the Unity watch face, called Unity light. It is an analog dial with the colors associated with this celebration visible at the top. There is also a black and white version available and you can choose between full screen or circular.

To use the new watch face, you need at least iOS 15.2 and watchOS 8.3. Those are the current versions of the software updates. So you don't have to wait for watchOS 8.4 and iOS 15.3, which will probably be available later this week. Please note that the watch face is only available on the Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Series 4 and newer.

Black Unity wallpapers for iPhone, iPad and Mac

Apple also has three more wallpapers have been made available for the iPhone, iPad and Mac. The wallpapers consist of the colors green, yellow, red and black, which appear as a kind of flashes of light from the bottom left to the top right of the screen.
