The automotive market is crazy for SUVs , with some car manufacturers who have preferred to sacrifice their sedan models and of station wagons, eliminating them almost entirely from their range, to replace them with models with more wheels; high.

It is not; the case of Volvo. The latter stated that, despite SUVs accounting for 75% of total sales , its range will not only include extra-large, compact or cross-over SUVs, confirming that its sedans and station will have new generations, remaining so & igrave; important part of the line-up.

Data in hand, the company's best seller is the Volvo XC60 SUV & egrave; author of the biggest sales of the house and & egrave; capable, on its own, of attracting the customer's attention more of the S60, V60, S90 and V90 combined.

Volvo CEO H & aring; kan Samuelsson stated: & ldquo; The S and V lines will be replaced with something even more; attractive to consumers. We need more cars short with a more build; conventional but maybe a little bit less square than they are today. Our sedans and stations will undoubtedly be part of the Volvo range in the future as well. & Quot;

Upcoming Volvo cars, especially SUVs, will have (as Samuelsson says) more builds; tapered and less square . This is to make them more attractive, more & ugrave; efficient and capable of breaking through the air, improving autonomy and decreasing consumption.

The road you will undertake & agrave; Volvo for its future will bring; to the production of pi & ugrave; EV models , therefore equipped with 100% electric propulsion systems.

Currently the company builds 15,000 EVs per year; in the next few years the capacity; will have to increase to 150,000 EV, to reach the goal of having 50% of sales from electric vehicles in 2025 and then become an electric-only brand, by 2030.
