At the end of the week, graduation ceremonies were held for the 707 new police officers who have completed their basic training as police officers.
On Monday, they will start their employment around the country.
– I want to warmly welcome all the new police officers. Together with their colleagues, they will form an important part of our law enforcement mission. The majority of the police assistants will be added to the local police areas and work to ensure the safety and security of the local community. The police authority is growing and as we become more police officers, the police local presence in the country will continue to increase, says National Police Chief Anders Thornberg in a statement.
