ViewSonic commemorates the imminent market launch of its new 32-inch monitors of the Elite series for gamers with a press release. The XG320U with UHD and 144 Hz as well as the XG320Q with WQHD and 165 Hz should be available worldwide in the third quarter. The XG321UG with mini-LED will miss the summer though.
Two just on schedule, one late
ViewSonic had already announced the aforementioned monitors in January as part of the virtual CES 2021. At that time, summer 2021 was given as a rough date for availability for all three models. With the third quarter and thus at the latest in September, at least the XG320U and the XG320Q could still appear in late summer. For the XG321UG, the fourth quarter now called definitely means a delay, in the worst case until the end of the year.
XG321UG, XG320U and XG320Q
According to the announcement in January, the XG321UG as the new flagship of the Elite series for gamers will have a mini LED backlight with 1,152 light zones. The special backlight should also achieve a high luminosity of up to 1,400 cd/m² at certain points. Accordingly, a high contrast ratio can be expected for HDR content, which is underlined by the DisplayHDR-1000 certification. The IPS panel delivers 3840 × 2160 pixels at 144 Hz. Nvidia G-Sync Ultimate was also announced.
The XG320U combines the same resolution and refresh rate with a conventional LED backlight. The XG320Q only has 2,560 × 1,440 pixels but a slightly higher 165 Hz. With the integrated overclocking function, the refresh rate can be increased to 150 Hz (XG320U) or 175 Hz (XG320Q).
