Domestic. Due to “increased Russian activity” in the Baltic Sea, the Armed Forces has made a so-called contingency adjustment and is now deploying extra units from both the army and navy on Gotland, reports SR P4 Gotland.

– The assessment is still that the threat picture is unchanged and the probability of an armed attack on Sweden is low, says Tomas Ängshammar, communications manager at the Gotland Armed Forces.
The Armed Forces says that the increased activity can linked to the upcoming exercise Zapad 21, which mainly takes place between 10 and 16 September.
Sweden will expand its maritime surveillance, intelligence gathering from the air strengthen the units on the ground in various places.
