In the video, which is sent to Catholics around the world, the controversial pope calls the corona vaccine a gift from God.
– Thanks to God and the work of many, we now have a vaccine that protects us against covid-19, he says.
Francis continues:
– Getting vaccinated is an act of love. Ensuring that the majority of people are vaccinated is an act of love.
Together with six other Catholic dignitaries from North, Central and South America in the video, the pope paints it as a moral obligation to take the vaccine.
