The criticism that often moves to the world of electricity is; the energy supply itself for recharging; if on the one hand direct emissions are zero, on the other hand there are still production methods that are certainly not “ green ''. For this reason Audi wants to be proactive and lend a hand by creating a network of wind and solar parks in different European countries , an all-round approach that will see; collaboration with various energy suppliers.

The program is; in the short term , Audi wants to create all of this by 2025 and make its name like this; for this date 5 TWh of renewable energy, a value that is equivalent to the capacity; of 250 wind turbines. There will be many projects, one of the first is; already well advanced in Germany and will enter & agrave; in operation in 2022: in this case we speak of a solar park equipped with 420,000 solar panels and a capacity; of 170 million kWh , one of the most greats of the state.

We are working to make mobility possible. with zero emissions. The next step is; the expansion of renewable energy sources, especially in those areas where the demand for recharge is; particularly high & rdquo; explains Oliver Hoffmann, Member of the Audi Board of Directors with responsibility; for Technical Development.

To ensure a direct supply of clean energy, Audi and the other brands of the Volkswagen Group push (at least in Germany) their supplier Elli for home charging and on Ionity for the public grid, which among others uses only renewable energy. Finally, with the so-called & quot; Mission: Zero & quot ;, the German company wants all its production sites carbon neutral by 2025 and, in the event of unavoidable emissions generated, will compensate & agrave; through the purchase of credits that support green projects.
