After the last pre-release versions, Mozilla released Firefox 91 and its longer-maintained ESR version, which is provided with updates for at least one year and is primarily intended for corporate use. Most of the various innovations were already presented in the last beta.
Firefox and Thunderbird under the sign of the 91
The official release notes for Firefox 91 and Firefox 91 ESR should appear later this day. Among other things, the new Proton user interface, which is supposed to provide a better overview with the heavily revised “Inspired Tab Design” and the “Floating Tabs”, is being expanded.
In addition, there are the mandatory bug fixes and optimizations that come with every major update. Firefox recently caused negative headlines: The free browser continues to lose market share to Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge based on Chromium.
