New Nest security camera leaked
We usually hear about leaked products and features from anonymous sources, but this time the news came directly from the maker. Google has announced a series of new Nest products on its American webshop, The Verge reports. The page is now offline, but we still have the photos.
It is striking that Google plans to release a new Nest Cam that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. This camera gets a removable battery, instead of mains power. That gives you as owner much more freedom in the positioning of your camera. Incidentally, a new Nest Cam will also be available within the mains supply.

Nest Doorbell with battery on the way
In addition to the security cameras, another product has leaked. It is a Nest Doorbell, also with a replaceable battery. You can currently only buy the doorbell with a power supply, but that is not convenient for everyone. The leaked Nest Doorbell is white instead of black. The design also appears to be the same, but inside we expect some improvements.
In May 2021, it was announced that Google Nest will work with HomeKit, thanks to support for Matter. However, they were remarkably quiet about the Nest Cam. We know that at least the smart thermostat will get support. This HomeKit support is important to Apple users. As an owner, it gives you more control over all your smart devices in one place.
