We hardly watch traditional TV anymore. Streaming video services like Apple TV+ (try for free), Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video are more important than ever. But local providers such as Videoland, Film1 and Ziggo also have plenty to offer. More series are added every week and it is nice to know which series, films and documentaries really stand out. We have therefore made a selection.

New on Apple TV+: Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson

You need good speakers for this new documentary series on Apple TV+. The 6-part documentary is about the influence of technology and sound on the music industry. We see interviews with, among others, Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl and Questlove.

Each episode of Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson tells the never-told story behind the origins of certain songs and genres. He talks to producers and creators to find out what they've done to get the ‘perfect sound’ to create. We also see King Princess, Ad-Rock and Mike D from the Beastie Boys, Charli XCX and others. At the end of each episode, Ronson creates a unique piece of music using the technology discussed, such as drum machines and autotune.
