Politics. Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) says in an interview with Örnsköldsviks Allehanda that he is “pissed” that health centers around Sweden let patients choose to be cared for by Swedish doctors.

The background is that Dagens Nyheter noticed earlier this week that a large number of care providers around Sweden offer patients the opportunity to choose a Swedish doctor, if they so wish, to avoid immigrant doctors.
< This is something that the Social Democrats marked against during the week, when they believe that it is morally wrong to offer that election. A patient should not be able to opt out of an immigrant doctor, the party thinks.
Now the Prime Minister also reacts to the fact that so many care providers do not deny patients their wishes.
– I get so pissed. We must never stop fighting racism and xenophobia, says Stefan Löfven.
51 care providers that DN contacted offered the opportunity to choose a Swedish doctor, while 40 did not.
