The spearhead in Corsair's SSD portfolio will soon be available with even more storage capacity. The previously announced model with 4 TB should be available in online stores in the coming days. Around 1,000 euros are due for the up to 7,000 MB/s fast PCIe 4.0 SSD with cooler.
The Corsair MP600 Pro with 4 TB is available at prices from 961 euros recently listed in price comparison. At Corsair direct, the purchase price is around 1,060 euros.
In this performance class there is not yet much choice with 4 TB of storage space. Alternatively, the Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus and the Seagate FireCuda 530 could be mentioned, which cost a similar amount with prices between 900 euros and 1,000 euros and use the same controller with the Phison E18. The Seagate SSD should have a slight performance advantage, however, because it already uses the faster 176-layer NAND from Micron.
In the test, the Corsair MP600 Pro has 2 TB demonstrated that it is currently one of the fastest consumer SSDs available. The performance of the 4 TB model should be at least as high. Corsair again mentions up to 7,000 MB/s for reading, but a slightly higher value for writing with up to 6,850 MB/s (in the SLC cache). The TBW increases to 3,000 TB.
