Toyota has decided not to abandon segment A and will soon bring; at the debut the new generation of the Aygo that will not be & agrave; more related to the Citroen C1 and Peugeot 108. These models, in fact, will not be renewed. The new Japanese car pogger & agrave; on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform , the same as the Yaris. The Japanese manufacturer in March had unveiled the X Prologue, a concept car from which it will derive; the new model.
A concept that had allowed us to understand that Toyota had decided to revise the design of the Aygo to re-propose it with more shapes; modern and with a reference to the world of crossovers. Now, the future & quot; little & quot; of the Japanese brand & egrave; was again intercepted on the road during some tests. Spy photos they show a car still in disguise but they allow, however, to notice some aspects of the design.
PETROL ENGINES ONLY
Some references to the concept can be observed but the design will be; obviously much less extreme. The front, for example, has much more optical groups; traditional. The circles of the prototype appear even more & ugrave; smaller than those of the X Prologue. The most similarities noticeable are more noticeable behind.
The shapes of the rear window, spoiler, lights and tailgate are very similar to those of the concept car. The images do not show the interiors . However, & egrave; Toyota may choose to adopt a style similar to that of the Yaris. As for the engine, it seems that we will find only unit & agrave; petrol . It is a choice made to reduce car costs. The heir of the Aygo will be produced in the factory located in Kolin in the Czech Republic.
The car is; was conceived exclusively for the European market and the design will be; fruit of the work of Toyota's European Design Center . All that remains is to wait for the arrival of further news on the development of this car. The debut, however, should take place by the end of 2021 or at the beginning of 2022 at the latest.
