EU. Officially, the EU vaccine passport is a result of the corona pandemic, but what those in power rarely say is that the European Commission already in 2018 established a roadmap for introducing a vaccine passport throughout the EU in 2022.

In 2018, the European Commission decided to adopt a “roadmap for strengthened protection against vaccine-preventable diseases”. The plan begins with propaganda measures in 2018 and ends with a sharp bill on vaccine passes in 2022.

Between 2019 and 2021, the Commission planned to carry out a feasibility study where the possibility of introducing a “joint vaccine pass” would be measured.

The feasibility study included opinion polls to find out if EU citizens could be expected to sit idly by and accept the vaccine they have or have not taken.

In the event of popular opposition in any Member State, the Commission would present “guidelines” that would help Member States to produce propaganda for the purpose of “combating vaccine skepticism” in that Member State. The propaganda would be “tailored to the needs of each Member State”, according to the roadmap. which is the last year of the timetable.

However, the vaccine passport is slightly less far-reaching than the vaccine passport introduced by the EU due to covid-19. The latter passport is limited in time and only applies between 1 July 2021 and 30 June 2022.

Despite the name, it was not officially intended that the EU vaccine passport from 2018 would be a requirement for travel, even if it could easily be converted into one.
