In autumn, Lenovo is renewing the entry-level workstations of the ThinkStation P350 series, which are available in the three form factors Tiny, SFF and Tower. Above all, the change from Intel Comet Lake to Rocket Lake, with which PCIe Gen 4 comes along, is new. The systems can be extensively equipped with RAM, SSDs and HDDs.
Lenovo does not want the prices of the successors to the ThinkStation P340 Tiny, ThinkStation P340 SFF and ThinkStation P340 Tower until a later date Announce the time as the market launch approaches. The current workstations start at slightly over 600 euros (Tiny) and around 700 euros (SFF, tower), but can also be configured much more expensive. Tiny with VESA also on the back of the monitor
The Tiny version measures just 36.5 × 182.9 × 179.0 mm (W × D × H) and can also be stowed almost invisibly on the back of a monitor using a VESA mount. As a Small Form Factor (SFF) the system grows to 92.5 × 309.7 × 339.5 mm and as a tower it is 170.0 × 315.4 × 376.0 mm.
Rocket Lake and Q570 with PCIe Gen 4
The dimensions are accompanied by different specifications, especially in the areas of storage media and interfaces, but even the Tiny still offers a comparatively large number of ports (see table). In the smallest workstation, RAM can be ordered distributed over two SO-DIMM slots with up to 64 GB or installed yourself; two M.2 slots with a maximum of 2 TB each are provided for the SSDs. With the Q570 chipset, Intel's new Rocket Lake platform also includes PCIe Gen 4 for faster data carriers.

The SFF and Tower versions offer significantly more space for SSDs and HDDs. In addition to three SSDs, the tower can accommodate up to two 3.5 “HDDs and up to four 2.5” HDDs. Lenovo enables configurations with up to 22 TB ex works for the tower. In both systems, RAM can be ordered distributed over four UDIMM slots with up to 128 GB or installed yourself. The two larger workstations use the W580 chipset and accept the Xeon W-1390 and Xeon W-1390P in addition to the Core i9-11900 and Core i9-11900K.

In the area of workstation graphics cards, in addition to the older generation up to the Nvidia Quadro P1000, the Tiny now also has a newer ( up to) Nvidia T600 of the Turing generation made available for selection. The SFF model, on the other hand, can be ordered with a more powerful Nvidia T1000 and a current Nvidia RTX 5000 (ampere) can optionally move in with the tower, which alone should cost around 2,000 euros.
