Fria Tider reported this weekend that the British Home Secretary Priti Patel has shown great interest in cooperating with Denmark and outsourcing its asylum reception to the third world.

Now the British government is expected to present proposal that asylum seekers should be sent to Ascension, writes Euro News.

Ascension is a small, barren and volcanic island – located 700 km from the British Isles – which belongs to the United Kingdom.

Priti Patel also wants immigrants who enter the UK illegally to be punished. Human traffickers, whom the minister describes as “heinous criminals”, should be sentenced to life in prison.

According to the Interior Ministry, the proposal for a new immigration law contains “the most radical changes to the broken asylum system in decades”.

“This legislation delivers what the British people have voted for time and time again – that Britain should take full control of its borders,” Priti Patel told the Daily Express.
