Yesterday, Groupe Renault held the & quot; Renault eWays & quot; event. Yes & egrave; treated of a very important event as several issues were addressed concerning the ambitious electrification strategy of the French group. Yes & egrave; talked about batteries, the evolution of engines, platforms and much more. The CEO Luca de Meo also addressed the topic of the new upcoming models, highlighting that at the Group level the objective is; to launch 10 new battery-powered cars by 2025 , of which 7 under the Renault brand. A topic that needs a little deepening because & eacute; during the presentation some teasers were also released that deserve attention.

NEW ALPINE AND RENAULT ELECTRIC MODELS
As regards the Alpine brand , Luca de Meo spoke of a & quot; dream garage & quot; which will be consisting of three electric cars. No specific details have been offered but & egrave; A teaser was shown that highlights the profiles of these models. The first car of the teaser is; the heir to the current endothermic A110. The second should be the high performance version of the future electric R5 and will feature; for an eye-catching rear wing. The third, on the other hand, seems to be an unpublished GT.
The first electric Alpine will arrive; in 2024 and probably will be; the sporty version of the R5. This is an assumption based on the fact that this model in its “ normal '' version debutter & agrave; just in 2024. There will be; however a lot of time to learn more. Speaking, on the other hand, of the upcoming electric models of the Renault brand, we already know; which will arrive in 2022; the Megane E-Tech Electric and in 2024 the R5.
The Megane pogger & agrave; on the CMF-EV platform and according to the teaser shared during the event, on this architecture will arrive & agrave; later an SUV about which, at the moment, there is no information. From the CMF-BEV platform, instead, will be born & agrave; the R5, the R4 that is; has been renamed for the time being as & quot; 4ever & quot; (will have crossover shapes) and a new commercial vehicle.
Speaking of the & quot; 4ever & quot ;, Renault also shared a dedicated teaser in which you can see a part of the front that goes to confirm that the look will wring & agrave; eye to the model of the past. In the next few years, therefore, very interesting battery-powered cars will arrive on paper. All that remains is to wait for further information on their development.
