More possible with Memoji

iOS 15 not only brings a lot of improvements to iMessage: the Memoji also get new possibilities. After the update, you will be able to personalize your Memoji, choose from new glasses and customize your headgear with three colors. You can now use your Memoji on your Mac's login screen even if you have macOS Monterey installed. In this article we give an overview of all the new possibilities with Memoji.

  1. Get dressed!
  2. Glasses and eyes
  3. Hat colors
  4. New stickers
  5. Log in on Mac

#1 Dress up your Memoji

Choose from one of 40 outfits for your Memoji to make your own emoji even more personal. This new clothing cannot yet be viewed in the beta that we are testing at the editors, but on a screenshot we saw, for example, a leather jacket. As soon as more is known about which outfits will become available, we will of course let you know. We did, however, already see the three new accessibility options for Memoji. You can now also choose from an oxygen tube, hearing implants and a soft protective helmet.

#2 New glasses and two eye colors

Before iOS 15 you could already choose from 36 different glasses, but there will be another nine. Glasses in the shape of a heart, star or classic oval are now also among the options. You can now change the color of the frame and the color of the lenses, so you can really see the world through rose-colored glasses. You can now also choose two different eye colors.

#3 Caps and hats with more colors

Where previously you could only choose one color for your headwear, you now have the freedom to combine up to three colors. Many hats, caps and helmets offer the option of combining two colors. There are only a few that actually combine three different colors.

#4 New stickers to paste

iOS 15 also comes with new Memoji stickers. We haven't come across these in the current beta either, but Apple mentions nine on the website. As an example, the shaka (hand gesture with your thumb and index finger), blowing and eureka moment (with light bulb). We'll find out what new stickers there are soon enough!

#5 Memoji on your Mac's lock screen

New to macOS Monterey is the ability to choose a Memoji as login image. This is not a static picture, but it really moves! This way your doll can laugh, sleep or welcome you when you log in. If you enter your password incorrectly, the doll will shake his or her head. Very nice to see!
