Although there was little more than a trailer for E3 2021 as another sign of life for Stalker 2, system requirements have been published – a good year before the planned release. The product page also reveals further details.
At least Stalker 2 should require a Core i5-7600K with four cores and threads, with AMD it must be a Ryzen 5 1600X with six cores . 8 GB of RAM is currently a common lower limit, but the Radeon RX 580 and GeForce GTX 1060 are not for graphics output. Both are still quite powerful GPUs in the lower middle class.
The shooter only runs optimally with more potent hardware, an eight-core Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel's also with eight cores, but i7-9700K not equipped with SMT. When it comes to RAM, 16 GB is again common for hardware recommendations. AMD Radeon RX 5700XT and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super are also often found as current upper-class solutions for system requirements. Stalker 2 only approves a lot with the hard drive: 150 GB of free memory are required – on an SSD.

On the product page, the developers also name the cornerstones of the game, the plays again in the area around the Chernobyl reactor. A mixture of simulation, horror game and shooter should be Stalker 2. There are also survival elements such as the simulation of hunger, need for sleep, blood loss and radiation exposure. Variations or mutations of enemy types as well as a “life simulation” should make the game somewhat unpredictable. As in other Stalker parts, the story is designed non-linearly, there are different endings. Mod support and a multiplayer mode are also promised, which should be submitted after the release.
