The bill bans LGBTQ literature for people under 18, including educational materials and ads that encourage a homosexual lifestyle.

When Russia introduced a similar law in 2013, it was liberals in the west to see red. Several so-called NGOs now condemn the Hungarian bill and compare it with the Russian one, according to the BBC.

The proposal is part of a bill aimed at pedophilia. According to the proposal, young people under 18 should not be shown pornographic content or any content that encourages gender reassignment or homosexuality.
