Hellpoint is described as “Dark Souls in Space” and is being given away by GOG for around 42 hours to draw attention to the big summer sale. In Hellpoint, players explore an abandoned and dilapidated space station where spawners from sci-fi hell lurk for victims.
Players on Steam see Hellpoint as “largely positive” On Metacritic, the title achieved 64 out of 100 points in the trade press, users rated it similarly with 6.3 out of 10 points. It turns out that a lot has not been implemented perfectly and small bugs spoil the fun, but fans of the genre are well entertained.
Until the end of the campaign, Hellpoint can be obtained free of charge from its shop page on GOG. A user account on the site is required.
