We hardly watch traditional TV anymore. Streaming video services like Apple TV+ (try for free), Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video are more important than ever. But local providers such as Videoland, Film1 and Ziggo also have plenty to offer. More series are added every week and it is nice to know which series, films and documentaries really stand out. We have therefore made a selection.

New on Apple TV+: Home Before Dark S02

A very young journalist (Brooklynn Prince) exposes injustice. Prince broke through with The Florida Project in 2017 and went on to star in the fact-based series Home Before Dark on Apple TV. She plays Hilde Lisko, an elementary school student who investigates the explosion on a farm in season two.

She becomes involved in a dangerous battle with a large company. Home Before Dark is based on the life of the now 14-year-old Hilde Lysiak, with Abby Miller and Jim Sturgess as her parents, among others. The ten new episodes appear on Fridays every week.
