Thanks to the new cloud storage service called Vault , the dash cams, which are attached by means of a suction cup, can automatically save recordings for 24 hours, with the possibility; to extend the period up to 30 days. Voice controls, also available in Italian, allow the user to start/stop audio recording, upload videos, take static photos and more.
The other two great news; they are called Parking Guard and Live View : the first warns, through the official app for Garmin Drive smartphones, if you & egrave; you have experienced an accident near your parked car; the second allows you to view the video feed of the dash cam at any time. Finally, the dash cams also offer a sort of ADAS: Front Collision Warning or FCW and Lane Departure Warning or LDW warn the driver if the safety distance from the vehicle in front drops below a certain threshold and if the car is changing lanes./p>
The dash cams do not have connectivity; mobile: so that & eacute; Vault, Parking Guard and Live View, therefore, must be connected to a Wi-Fi network , for example the hotspot of your vehicle. Another fundamental requirement is; the connection to the power supply. By the way: a cigarette lighter power supply is supplied in the package. It offers two USB ports, thus allowing; to recharge another device, such as your smartphone, at the same time.
