At the end of the month, Medion will bring new hardware to the discounters Aldi Nord and Süd. Above all, two desktops and a notebook stand out for gamers who are supposed to meet the highest demands. The notebook combines AMD's mobile high-end CPUs with the GeForce RTX 3080, while the desktops use rare RTX cards.
Erazer Beast X25 with Ryzen 9 5900HX and RTX 3080
Medion positions the Erazer Beast X25 notebook as a desktop replacement. This comes with a 17.3-inch display with a correspondingly large footprint. In contrast, the overall height and weight are comparatively compact in view of the equipment. The case measures 395 × 262 × 26 mm (W × D × H).
The display has a Full HD resolution, uses IPS technology and offers a refresh rate of 240 Hz. The model is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX (Cezanne). The 7 nm CPU offers eight cores with multithreading at a base clock of 3.30 GHz (maximum 4.60 GHz). The 5900HX represents the spearhead of the mobile Ryzen processors with 45 watt TDP. The processor is assisted by 64 GB DDR4 memory with a clock speed of 3,200 MHz.

Although Nvidia demanded more transparency from manufacturers for the current notebook graphics cards in order to have clarity with TGP and clock, Medion did not comment on this in advance. Erazer Engineer X10 with i7-11700 and RTX 3070
The Engineer X10 marks the entry point for desktops. Medion packs the Intel Core i7-11700 of the Rocket Lake-S generation in the In Win 301 (test). The CPU offers eight cores with 16 threads, the clock is 2.5 GHz (Turbo maximum 4.90 GHz). The processor can fall back on 32 GB DDR4-3200 and a 1 TB PCIe SSD for non-volatile data. For games, Medion installs a GeForce RTX 3070 (test) with 8 GB GDDR6 in the Engineer X10, which continues to shine on the open market with its lack of availability and high prices. The equipment also includes various USB connections, HDMI 2.1 and Windows 10 Home as the operating system.

Medion Erazer Hunter X20 Computing power comes from the Intel Core i9-11900K (test), Intel's top model in the Rocket Lake-S range. In the ComputerBase test, the processor impressed with its high gaming and application performance, but bought it with very high power consumption and high temperatures; the limitations of the 14 nm production become apparent. In the case of the X20, an Alphacool Eisbaer 240 takes over the cooling with water, which is ventilated by fans of the type In Win Saturn aRGB (120mm).
As in the Engineer X10, Medion also uses 32 GB DDR4-3200 in the large model, here of the Kingston HyperX Fury RGB type. A 1 TB SSD (PCIe) and a 4 TB HDD are available for non-volatile data. With the graphics card, Medion goes one step higher with the GeForce RTX 3080, but it is not known which specific model from which manufacturer is used.
