Belated Justice? Almost three decades after the worst stadium disaster in Sheffield, the British justice accuses six people. However, no Fans, but four police officers.

More than 28 years after the disaster at the football stadium of Hillsborough, the British Prosecutor’s office has filed charges against six people, including four police officers. In the case of the other two is a lawyer and the Ex-managing Director of the football club Sheffield Wednesday, of the owner of the stadium. The public Prosecutor’s office announced on Wednesday in English Warrington.

15. April 1989, had broken out in the Cup game between Liverpool FC and Nottingham Forrest in the stadium a mass panic. 96 people died. A further 766 people were injured. For a long time, the disaster was classified as an accident that was caused by the Fans. In 2012, the resist was, after the relatives of the victim had led to a further investigation. In the FA Cup final the Fans were squashed on a crowded grandstand to death. An independent Jury came in 2016 to the conclusion that the police carry the blame for the biggest sporting disaster in British history.
