HBO director Richard Plepler has announced that its streaming-video service HBO Go as of next year in the United States as a separate subscription will be offered, in addition to the existing bundles with tv-pay per view channels. About a release in Europe, nothing is yet known.
HBO ceo Richard Plepler on Wednesday indicated that the pay-tv channels from next year in the U.S. separate subscriptions for HBO Go will introduce. About the exact launch date is still not known, as well as the prices. It is unclear yet whether HBO in the Netherlands with the new ‘online only’subscriptions. Spokesman Jeroen Roovers late Tweakers know about this and yet nothing is known.
With the announcement of a subscription service for so-called over-the-top Go service follows HBO’s example of competitor Netflix. The latter is not only active in the Netherlands and the US, but recently opened his doors in Belgium. HBO offers in Belgium a part of its content via the Prime platform via Telenet accessible.
