Apple CarPlay is released via a software update for the Nex line of in-car systems from Pioneer. It is the first time that products are equipped with Apple’s autosoftware. This is Apple’s competitor Google quickly.
Pioneer says that the Thursday begins with the update for various devices, the software provides of Apple’s CarPlay platform. Users can install the update by download, on a usb stick and put that in the usb port of the system.
It is the first time that a manufacturer updates are released with CarPlay, the system for the first time on the market. The intention is that several other manufacturers, the Apple software for use as update, but this is also going to be build in systems of new cars.
Apple announced CarPlay, fifteen months ago to as ‘iOS in the car’, a variant of its mobile operating system for use in entertainment systems in cars. That software works together with iPhones, and users can include handling calls, receive messages and play music.
In addition to Apple is Google doing with autosoftware, in this case under the name, Android Auto. That software is not yet released.
