Disney deletes the Star Wars: Attack Squadrons

Disney Mobile has the development of Star Wars: Attack Squadrons halted, the company informs via Facebook. The free playable game was half a year ago announced and there was already quite some time a b lwa tatest of the game, in which players dog fights could fight.

Disney reports that the ‘space for other Star Wars projects”, without mentioning what these are. Attack Squadrons had a game where up to sixteen players in dog fights against each other in X-Wings and TIE fighters, well-known spaceships from the Star Wars universe. It was made by Area 52 Games. The game was in december announced, after all earlier it was leaked that Disney, the corresponding domain name was specified.

The reason why the game is deleted, could be that the project is outside the agreement fell that Disney with publisher Electronic Arts has closed. The two parties signed in 2013 a deal that EA the right to ten years, games based on the Star Wars series. EA had with Disney to the table after the last in 2012, film studio LucasFilm acquired, and thus the rights to the series in the hands got.
