Providers in the Netherlands with a share of the masts in the Netherlands is not of 4g equipment, because the owners of the buildings or land on which the towers stand. It would go to around ten percent of the currently used antenna locations.

Because some cell towers the new 4g equipment is not, the coverage of 4g is incomplete. It depends per provider, and per spot on how large the impact is as a provider of a mast is not 4g provides; in some areas, it may be a different cell tower the 4g signal provide and there is no impact.

It comes with T-Mobile for about ten percent of the cell towers, said Lampros Iskos, director of technology at T-Mobile Netherlands. “It is an issue affecting all providers face, not only T-Mobile,” said the ceo in an interview with Tweakers.

The problem is, according to the Iskos is often that the providers and owners of land and buildings, specific arrangements have to be made on the size of the cell towers. That depends on the frequency used and the available equipment. “When we got those appointments made, was multibandapparatuur science fiction.” Now with all of the providers cell tower new equipment on different frequencies, to emit, but sometimes greater. “Owners therefore want to re-negotiate the terms and conditions for the placement of the cell tower and often ask for more money. We should consider whether we are worthy to be praised, but sometimes we find that they are too much money.”

Nevertheless, will providers nationwide coverage claim for 4g; KPN does that already, and Vodafone says in september everyone of 4g. T-Mobile holds that ‘this year’ a majority of customers on 4g.
