Gigabyte shows Nvidia variant of Brix-barebones

Gigabyte has the Nvidia variant of its Brix pc revealed. The mini-pc has a housing with a green-and-black Nvidia-design and has a Nvidia GTX 760-video card on board. In addition, the pc equipped with a quadcore processor from Intel.

The Tech Report looked at the device at a private event in Las Vegas. The processor is a Core i5-4200H, which is standard on 2.8 GHz is running, with a turbofrequentie of 3.4 GHz. The processor has a tdp of 47 watts, but the Nvidia card has a tdp of 170 watts. How much noise the pc is under load and produced, could The Tech Report does not estimate due to the background noise. The Nvidia variant of the Brix-pcs also has 2 sodimm slots, support for 802.11 ac wi-fi, bluetooth and gigabit ethernet. The Nvidia Brix has both support for msata as 2.5″-storage media. On the outside there are three usb 3.0 ports, two hdmi ports and a mini displayport. Gigabyte the Netherlands expected that the Brix-pc in Nvidia-taste at the end of June to come out, but where the product actually comes out and how much it will cost, is not yet known. The AMD-variant is also not yet available.
