ING has, by the mouth of ceo Nick Jue apologized for the disruptions in online banking which ING the last has had time. The bank promises improvements, faults and breakdowns in the future, as much as possible, to prevent.

The last time was the bank multiple times with failures, including several in the past week. In one of the disruptions was unclear whether payments have or have not been implemented, so initially it seemed that customers inadvertently multiple times money had been transferred. ING aroused the anger on the neck when it was indicated that who do not would be automatically corrected. Afterwards, claim ING that wrongly seemed as if payments duplicate were performed, but that in practice this was not the case.

ING ceo Jue highlighted in a video for customers that interference will not completely prevent can be, but promises that the bank will be best is going to do. “Internet banking has become very important. Where we used to have one once a week inlogden, we look every day now to our balance,” said Jue. “Our customers may expect that the 24 hours per day, seven days a week, and I understand that they are angry as online banking, a time does not work.”

The chief information officer of ING, Peter Jacobs, said that the failures in the past few weeks, the result of a large number of changes to the online, not in the last place because of the introduction of Sepa, a new pan-European payment system. Also the increased activity on the internet banking would be the interference debit.

The bank promises the monitoring of its systems to improve. Also, systems are that the crowds can’t handle, replaced by systems that would be suitable. Finally, the underlying payment systems ‘disconnected’, says Jacobs, as they don’t do it. Therefore, the lack of clarity about whether or not payments made will be removed.
