ING was Wednesday again with a ddos attack, which ensures that the online services of the bank is limited. The bank says measures taken to ensure that the effects of the attack were limited.
“My ING, paypal and the mobile app are, unfortunately, limited available due to a ddos attack. We do all this as soon as possible to resolve.”, reported ING Webcare again on Twitter. After 15 minutes, it was the attack of Wednesday successfully repulsed, reports ING. Customers can however still with limited availability. It was the fifth major failure for the bank in a week’s time. Tuesday night were the internet services of the bank even with the downtime caused by the ddos attack.
That attack was after about 20 minutes chopped off by measures ING has taken. Details on these measures, the bank ‘for security reasons’ is not known. “These measures go at the expense of accessibility”, said a spokesman Tuesday against Tweakers. He said that it is not yet clear in which corner the attackers should be sought.
Meanwhile, there is growing frustration with customers of the bank, but also by politicians to stir.
