Call of Duty: Black Ops II gets microtransacties

Activision announces that on 13 march, a title update will appear for the Xbox 360 version of CoD: Black Ops II. The publisher introduces thus a system of microtransacties, in which players objects can buy that don’t affect the gameplay.

Activisions Dan Amrich announced the release of microtransacties in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, via the blog that he is for the publisher to track. On 13 march there will be a title update for the Xbox 360 version of the game, in which the changes are to be implemented. According to the blogger, players can virtual buy items which gives the appearance of weapons and equipment can be changed. Amrich describes mainly to adjustments to the appearance of the weapons in the game. So, Activision the Bacon Pack on the market, which arms with bacon covered can be. Each Pack contains three targeting reticules and a calling card.

The objects have no influence on the gameplay, emphasizes Amrich. The are purely cosmetic upgrades. The Packs go for 160 Microsoft Points cost, a small 2 euro. The publisher wants the system to also enter the versions for the pc and PlayStation 3, though it is not yet known when. Activision does not take the version for Wii U.

The publisher brings out further the Extra Slots Pack on the market, which allows players to ten extra Create-a-Class slots. Also it will cost 160 MS Points. There will also be a Flags of the World Calling Card Pack, including flags of a large number of countries. Which will cost 80 MS Points. In addition, the multiplayermap Nuketown 2025 free to download. Also the folder Nuketown Zombies, previously only included in the Hardened Edition of the game, is to download. That is not free but costs 400 MS Points.
